We started the day off with a nice blue marlin eating the short corner bait. We survived all the jumps and once the fish settled down we got it right next to the boat before pulling the hooks. Then a few minutes after that we had a double stripe marlin attack and ended up releasing one of those. The 18 and 19 of March fishing days we seen blue marlin and stripe marlin each day but could not get them hooked . All three fish were just strikes and swam off after a few attempts on the lures.
The fishing report from the rest of the fleet was little slow. I heard of a blue marlin on the Melee and a spearfish from the 43’ Cabo with JB. Also a few ono are now starting to show up for the boats fishing in shallow water… the ono fishing season will be in full swing around the full moon in April tell June…
