Been quality instead of quantity fishing in Kona at the moment for the charter boat fleet. Not a lot of mahi, ono or tuna around at the moment. But there is a lot of blue marlin in Kona her now. We fished a half day from 6-10 a.m. with a grandfather, son and grandson and did not have a bite. The fish buoy where the skip jack hang out were not biting at all. Then we turned around and fished a 10-4 p.m. 3/4 day fishing with a family from San Jose and they got to catch and release a nice blue marlin. Plus they lost a blue marlin and spearfish strike..
