Epic Day Offshore in Kona, Hawaii Aboard Hooked Up Sportfishing
What an incredible day of deep-sea fishing in Kona, Hawaii aboard Hooked Up Sportfishing! Captain Griffin and the crew were on the fish today, putting together an outstanding day of blue marlin fishing and big ahi tuna action.
The day started with some serious marlin action. We went 2 for 5 on blue marlin, including an impressive 500-pound blue marlin!
But the excitement didn’t stop there.
Around 3 PM, Captain Griffin located a school of yellowfin tuna out on the 600-fathom grounds. Nobody was working the school, and we had the fish all to ourselves!

The tuna were hungry, giving us six bites and putting three beautiful yellowfin tuna (ahi) on the deck. We finished 3 for 6 on yellowfin tuna, along with two mahi mahi to round out an incredible day offshore.

- Blue Marlin: 2 for 5, including a 500-pounder
- Yellowfin Tuna (Ahi): 3 for 6
- Mahi Mahi: 2 caught
